Erin R. McCoy is an Associate Professor of English & Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Her book, War Tour: A Cultural History of the Viet Nam War (McFarland, 2022) looks at the Viet Nam War through the lens of history, popular culture (especially music) as well as her own award-funded research in Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, and Australia.
She is set to go back to Viet Nam (and Cambodia) on 8 May - 2 June for research on UXO (unexploded ordinance) workers courtesy of a University of South Carolina RISE Award. She lives in Savannah with her husband and their pets. You can find her at mizmccoy.com.
