Our speaker this week is Cliff McMackin (See Bio Below).
Speaker 6-6-22 - Cliff McMackin
Cliff is currently leading resort development efforts for Sea Pines Resort and Kiawah Island Golf Resort.  He graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Construction Science and Management and has developed his core talents in the commercial construction industry over the last 20 years.  Throughout his career, Cliff has internalized a goal of enhancing lives through the development and construction of private and community facilities.
Cliff spent a decade in the commercial general contracting arena leading major projects all over the country.  Among those projects were The Avenue at Murfreesboro, an outdoor mall concept spanning more than 100 acres in the suburbs of Nashville, TN.  The largest project being Charlotte’s 1 Bank of America Center, a 30-story class A office high-rise, 17-story Ritz Carlton, and major renovation to the retail low-rise of the 60-story Bank of America Corporate Center.
In 2013, Cliff relocated his family from Charlotte, NC, to Sea Pines to help the Resort Owners of both Sea Pines and Kiawah with redeveloping resort amenities and master planning for the future.  Since his relocation, Cliff has administrated six major projects for Kiawah totaling $90M, and four major projects for Sea Pines totaling $92M, including the recently completed Quarterdeck in Harbour Town.
Cliff continues to plan future enhancements for both resort properties and takes pride in preparing for the next generation of travelers and island residents.
