Happy Feet was a great success again this year. We were able to get 111 pairs of shoes and just as many socks. We also got some help from the Friends of the Pratt Memorial Library in Ridgeland. They donated over 100 books to this event so each child would be able to pick out a new book with their shoes.

It was truly incredible to be able to see all those children's faces light up when they got their new pair of shoes, and a book. A big thank you to Victoria at New Balance who year after year has helped make this event spectacular. And thank you to everyone who volunteered!

Our speaker this week is General Craig Wheeler. General Wheeler was present at the Pentagon during the attack on 9/11 and will be giving us his account of that day.

Our speaker last week was Dick Storm. He posted his presentation from last Monday on Linkedin and provided the link. In case you missed it, or want to learn some more about it,  follow this link!

I look forward to seeing everyone Monday and in case I don't see you I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

SANDALWOOD CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Below are the suggested age groupings for children’s toys.  Please wrap and label the gifts and bring them to the Christmas party.  Please contact me if you will not be attending, and I will pick them up. The gifts will be delivered to Reverend Nannette by Monday, December 19, and will be distributed on the 20th.

You are invited to attend and take part in the joy of giving these gifts.  Remember, every member of each family will receive a gift, so don’t forget something nice for the parents. Suggested cost for each gift is $5 - $10, no more than $15.

I will be keeping a spreadsheet of gifts to make sure all ages are covered, so please let me know that information when you have shopped.

Thanks for your generosity and caring hearts.
