Sandals for Sandalwood is tomorrow! I will be getting there about 9am to get the sandals set up for hand out. Everyone who would like to join in is welcome to be there! Over 150 pairs of sandals will be given away during Sandalwoods normal distribution time.

The changeover dinner is coming up soon! Be sure to get your RSVP to Nancy. The date is June 24th at the golf club of Indigo Run. Meal choices are either 5oz. Filet or Chicken Cordon Bleu. Each choice comes with salad, bread and dessert.

Thank you everyone for everything that you did for Flags for Heroes. It was a fantastic showing for our first year and we will be able to build this event over the years to hopefully over 1,000 flags flown.

Thank you everyone and I look forward to seeing you.

Speaker 06/05/23

Our speaker this week is the owner of Smooth Juice shop and Smoothies Fith Fithian. Fith was born in the states but then moved up to Canada living in North Bay, Ontario, when he was younger.

Fith did his undergrad studies in the States and finished my degree in Greece, through Boston College, then did my Law Studies in Pepperdine and received my Law degree from Pepperdine as well as my ADR Certificate from Pepperdine.

Fith has worked for international resorts around the world, mostly with Club Mediterranean.  I also practiced Law twice and it was just too boring for me.  I then became a Cruise Director for Norwegian Cruise Lines and then switched over to Celebrity Cruise Lines.  I also have worked in many different countries and also worked for the company called Cirque de Solei.

Work Positions:  Trapeze Instructor, Water-ski Instructor, Snow-ski Instructor, Sailing Instructor, Windsurfing Instructor, Snorkeling Instructor, Kayak and Paddleboard Instructor.   Water-aerobics Instructor, Dance Instructor, Personal Trainer, Chief of Sports, Asst. Resort Manager, Resort General Manager, Restaurant and Bar General Manager and now Business Owner.

Places I have lived:   Canada, States, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Morocco, Germany, Greece, France, Dominical Republic, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, New Caledonia, Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Mauritius Island.

I initially was GM of the Tiki Hut and I was the one that created the "Full Moon Parties" as well as the concerts on the beach.   I was there for just over 2 years and then the Smoothie Shop became available, and I bought that.  This was more aligned with personal interests of getting people healthy, as opposed to getting them drunk.

As a lawyer, I enjoy researching and this is when, after buying the Smoothie shop, I was able to create a new process to actually ferment Turmeric and also ferment Thyme, creating the 2 new products called, Ukonhakko and Taimuhakko.  Ukonhakko being for battling inflammation and the Taimuhakko is to restore healthy lungs.  Also, my smoothie shop was recently awarded as being in the Top 8 of the State for Smoothies Shops in South Carolina.
