Last week we had a "Catching up with the club" meeting.  We got the final mini golf numbers, a new fundraiser idea was brought forward, and we talked about the Christmas party.

The new fundraiser idea that John Abboud brought forward is Flags for Heroes. Anyone you think is a hero can have a flag purchased in their name to be displayed during the event. It can be a veteran or first responder, someone who you feel deserves recognition. We are still in the early planning stages for beginning this in 2023. For more information about what they do, their website can be found here: https://flagsforourheroes.org/

The Christmas Party is set for December 10th. We will not be having a meeting on the 12th. The location is Indigo Run Country Club, the same location as the changeover dinner. Invites will be out soon, so be on the lookout!

Happy Feet was postponed due to the tropical storm. So we had to reschedule the event for 11/18/22. That is this Friday. Sign-up sheets are on the website; please follow the link. Set-up is between 12 and 2 p.m., check-out and shoe try-ons are between 3 and 5 p.m.

Thank you everyone, and I look forward to seeing you on Monday and at this year's Happy Feet!

SANDALWOOD CHRISTMAS GIFTS

Below are the suggested age groupings for children’s toys.  Please wrap and label the gifts and bring them to the Christmas party.  Please contact me if you will not be attending, and I will pick them up.
The gifts will be delivered to Reverend Nannette by Monday, December 19, and will be distributed on the 20th.  You are invited to attend and take part in the joy of giving these gifts.
Remember, every member of each family will receive a gift, so don’t forget something nice for the parents. Suggested cost for each gift is $5 - $10, no more than $15.

I will be keeping a spreadsheet of gifts to make sure all ages are covered, so please let me know that information when you have shopped.
Thanks for your generosity and caring hearts.
