The Sunset club started "Happy Feet" in 2018 and it returns in 2023 with the support of our local New Balance Factory Store that provides 
the shoes and socks at a 40%-50% discount off the retail price. We work with preschool children who are identified by the center as needing some type of government support. Sunset Rotary pays for the shoes with money earned by fund raising events including our mini golf tournament. To help cover the cost, we receive $1,500 from Rotary District 7770, which we match. This totals $3,000 to provide socks and shoes to the underprivileged children in our area.

The children come to the Children’s Center on Saturday morning to select their new shoes. They try on the shoes to make sure they fit and then wear them home. They are so proud of their new shoes and their expressions of joy are priceless.
